Our client is looking for an experienced Fire & Security Systems Engineer specialising in installations and testing for client within London and surrounding areas. You will be working in schools/universities, hotels, care homes, housing associations, commercial office blocks and high-end apartments to name a few. Dealing with servicing & maintenance, electrical testing, installations, and project works.

Fire & Systems Engineer, this will be a mobile position cover all sites in and around the M25, van and fuel card will be provided, You will be carrying out system reactive and preventative maintenance and additional works to all aspects of security systems, fire detection, life safety equipment and any other equipment within your capacities. Comply with Health & Safety legislation.

Applicants must have


Hold valid IPAF certification

Asbestos Awareness certification

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

To ensure that various pre-planned maintenance schedules are kept up to date and maintained

Maintain Fire and Security Systems in line with current standards and customer requirements

Respond to demand service calls on all types of systems in line with current standards and customer requirements

Plan and implement routine and re-active call visits for your area

Effectively communicate with our customers to ensure a full understanding

Fire alarms

Emergency lighting

Disabled refuge alarm

Door access

Intercom systems

CCTV systems

Intruder alarm systems

Smoke dampers

Able to work on own initiative fault finding

Test and repair of malfunctioning systems

Routine maintenance visits

Applicants must have a with a good understanding of conventional and addressable fire alarms and a basic understanding of electronic intruder alarms, CCTV, Access Control and integrated solutions should apply

Personality - Energy, Drive and Enthusiasm

Technical background in the electrical / electronic industry

Good all-round knowledge of Fire and Security Systems

Experience of front-line customer contact preferred

Excellent organisational skills

Professional and presentable at all times

Be able to deliver exceptional customer service

Must be able to perform well as an individual as well as part of a team
